Ultrex is a Marvin process where fiberglass is processed into very strong construction-grade materials. Ultrex is used to create Infinity frames because fiberglass is highly resistant to decay, has about the same expansion rate as glass, does not allow moisture penetration, and requires minimal maintenance.

The strength of Ultrex allows Marvin to manufacture larger windows with smaller frames - meaning more visible glass area for you to enjoy the view and additional light. |

Frame to Glass Ratio
An important consideration of replacement windows is the ratio of frame size to glass.
Relatively weak materials such as vinyl require larger frames to help prevent them from sagging, twisting or going 'out of square'.
Of course, as the frame grows larger, the amount of glass, view and all other benefits and reasons to have a window is less. |

Exterior Finish
The exteriors of Infinity by Marvin windows are finished with a special coating that requires no additional finish.
Available in stone white pebble gray and bronze, the factory finish won't peel, crack, chip or fade.
Unlike vinyl and aluminum, these exteriors readily accept paint, allowing you to coordinate the window color to your home.

Interior Finish
The interiors of Infinity by Marvin windows are finished with a special inorganic material called 'EverWood' that looks, feels and stains like wood.
Unlike wood, EverWood doesn't warp, absorb moisture, discolor or degrade over time.

EverWood is simple to stain to match any wood color with ease simplifying your ability to match new windows to the existing woodwork.

Simplified Cleaning
Cleaning Infinity by Marvin windows is simplified by allowing you to tilt the windows into the room. The following describes how to clean a double hung window: |

- Unlock and raise the sash slightly
- Depress the tilt release button and slide the lock lever over the button
- Tilt the sash into the room for easy cleaning without screen removal

To maximize energy efficiency, Infinity from Marvin series windows come standard with Low E II insulating glass. Argon gas is available to further improve energy efficiency. This eye toward energy conservation has resulted in windows exceeding the standards required to qualify them for the U.S. Department of Energy and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Energy Star program.
Infinity by Marvin windows qualify for the U.S. Government's Energy Tax Credit. Owners of these windows can download and submit the manufacturer's certificate to participate.
