These premier Marvin replacement windows combine the beauty of solid wooden frames protected by an heavy extruded aluminum exterior cladding. Marvin uses complex aluminum extrusions designed to fit the equally complex contours of the wooden frames instead of simple and generically roll-formed extrusions used by some of the competitor’s designs.

Marvin not only uses a 70% Kynar coating for weatherability, they also use a special formulation called Flurospar®, that gives you a more durable finish against dents, mars or scratches than a typical 70% Kynar finish. Marvin Windows and Doors’ clad products meet these criteria, while passing the rigorous AAMA 2605-98 testing. The coating has been exposed to a battery of tests including boiling water, nitric acid, UV light, temperature extremes, etc.

With this weatherproof exterior and a wooden interior available in fir, mahogany, oak, cherry, and pine, these hybrid windows provide an all-around flexibility not available in vinyl or all aluminum windows. Like vinyl framed windows, Marvin’s aluminum clad exterior frames never need painting. However; unlike vinyl windows, the exteriors of Marvin Clad windows are available in many different colors. And, since the interiors are constructed of solid wood, they can be finished in any colored stain or paint the homeowner wishes. Marvin windows provide the look and warmth that only wood can deliver. The straight grain and knot free wood readily accepts any stain allowing the finish to be coordinated to the rest of the home. For an additional fee, your windows can be professionally finished to your specification prior to installation.
