While more expensive than simply replacing with modern, hi-volume, factory produced products, these custom manufactured replacements will retain the look and feel of the original design which will be far less likely to jeopardize any historical listing.
The first step to creating a historically accurate replacement is to transfer existing shapes and contours to tool hardened steel. These cutting heads are mounted in a shaping machine that turns today's standard mill stock into yesterday's design.
After all wood pieces have been milled, they are assembled using modern materials and fabrication techniques in a temperature controlled environment. After assembly, they are finished to customer specification, and delivered and installed in the building.
You don't need to live with drafty or poorly functioning windows or doors, or to be afraid to replace trim in a historically significant home. Don't put you Historic Listing at risk.
